Samuel Adams and Urban Artifact

Tricorne Tart PawPaw NEIPA

While Boston is the hometown of Samuel Adams, Jim’s roots are in Cincinnati. For over 20 years we’ve been brewing beer in Cincinnati, at what was previously known as the Schoenling Brewery, where Jim’s father was a brewing apprentice back in the 1940s. To celebrate the rich brewing history of Cincinnati, we collaborated with our friends over at Urban Artifact brewery on a tart New England IPA brewed with Paw Paw fruit, which is native to Ohio.

Named after the hat worn during the revolutionary war (which just so happens to resemble the shape of a Paw Paw fruit flower), TriCorne is super juicy with bright tropical fruit notes. It’s full bodied, and is extremely flavorful without the harsh bitterness you sometimes get from an IPA.

Check out the blog to read a Q&A with brewers from Samuel Adams and Urban Artifact. All profits from TriCorne will be donated to the Ohio Craft Brewers Association
