Boston Brewery FAQ

How much does a tour cost?

We do not charge for admission for our classic tour of the Boston Brewery. Rather, we ask for a small charitable donation upon your arrival to local charities we are proud to support. We do have a variety of paid tour experiences that you can check out to elevate your experience.

How do you get to the Boston Brewery?

We are a two block walk from the Stony Brook stop on the Orange line, and our address is 30 Germania Street, in Boston for your GPS.

Do we have parking at the Boston Brewery?

We do have limited parking, but whenever possible we always recommend taking the T here, since we are two blocks away from the Stony Brook stop on the Orange Line.

How long is the tour?

The classic tour is approximately an hour long, with 30 minutes learning about the ingredients in our beer and brewing process, and the other 30 minutes spent in a tasting room, sampling 3 different styles of our award winning Samuel Adams craft beer.

Can someone under the age of 21 go on a tour?

Yes, although they will not be able to participate in the tasting portion of the tour. Root beer is available for those not looking to drink. However, you must be 21+ with a valid ID to participate in our Morning Mash-In Tours.

Do you serve food/is there a bar on-site?

We do serve pints, flights, and tasters in our Tap Room! Check the Tap Room page for hours and more information. We often have food trucks and local businesses serving food, and there are also a couple establishments nearby including Ula Café, Bella Luna, and Doyle’s.

Do you offer private tours?

Yes for larger groups (20 or more). Groups of more than 20 people may call (617) 368-5256 to schedule a private tour. Private tours are available Monday-Thursday at 3:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.

Do you rent space for private events?

We are not a venue location and do not rent out our Boston Brewery space for private functions. However, we can schedule private tours Monday-Thursday. For more information on private tours only, please call 617-368-5256.

Is there anything else to do in Jamaica Plain?

Our Jamaica Plain neighborhood is also home to Harvard University’s Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond and a colorful collection of shops, restaurants and galleries on Centre Street.

Can you reserve tickets for tours?

We have a variety of reserved specialty tours, which you can learn more about on our Brewery Tours page. We do not take reservations for our classic tours, as they are first come, first served. If you would like a private tour for a party of 20 or more, we host them Monday – Thursday at 3:30, 4:00, and 4:30 PM. If you would like to schedule one, please call 617-368-5256.
