May we suggest
Boston can be a very confusing city for the unfamiliar driver. If you are new to town, or just visiting, we suggest you take the MBTA (Boston's Public Transportation system) to our Brewery. If you decide to drive, visit the street map to the brewery on Google MapsTM at the link provided below to help route your trip, or use our written directions below.  Please note we do have limited parking at the brewery.  Parking is free at the brewery.

If you have trouble finding a parking spot at our Germania Street location there is additional parking on Merriam Ave which is parallel to Germania.

Public Transportation
Take the Orange Line subway "T" outbound towards Forest Hills. Exit at the Stony Brook stop. Above ground, take a left onto Boylston Street and go straight. At the first set of lights, take a right onto Amory Street. Take your first left on Porter Street and look for the "Samuel Adams" signs.

Driving
From the South of Boston: Take 93 North to Exit 18 (Mass. Ave. and Roxbury Exit). Go straight down Melnea Cass Boulevard until almost to the end. Take a left on Tremont Street (Landmark: Ruggles MBTA Station and Northeastern University will be on your right when you turn onto Tremont Street). Follow Tremont Street through several lights. Tremont Street becomes Columbus Avenue. Take a right on Amory Street (Landmark: Look for a big, powder blue muffler shop on the right -- directly after Centre Street). Follow Amory Street through 2 lights. After the second light take a left onto Porter Street (Landmark: Directly after Boylston Street). Go to the end of Porter Street and Brewery is on the right.

From North of Boston: Take 93 South to Exit 18 (Mass. Ave. and Roxbury Exit). Follow directions above.

Boston Brewery Tour FAQs
Thank you for your interest in the Samuel Adams Brewery Tour! Any questions you have about taking a tour are probably answered below. If not, give us a call a call at (617) 368-5256.

Q: Is parking available at the brewery?
A: We have limited parking, but it is free, at our Germania Street location.  Parking is free but we do require all guests to park in a valid parking spot.  A valid spot is any parking spot that has 2 double lines one on each side.   Parking is limited however there is additional parking on the parallel street, Merriam Ave.  Please note if you are unsure if a parking spot is valid please enter the brewery and check with a Brewery Ambassador to ensure you car does not get towed.   The Boston Brewery is not responsible for any towed vehicles.

Q: How much do tours cost?
A: Our tours are always free! We do ask for a voluntary $2 donation per person. All tour donations go to local charities.

Q: How often do tours run during the open hours?
A: Tours run approximately every 45 minutes. We may have tours every 30 minutes during busy days and on the hour during slower days.

Q: What's the best way to get to the brewery?
A: We highly recommend taking Boston's subway system which is known as The T. We are at the Stony Brook stop on the Orange line. Parking at the brewery is very limited.  However we do have additional parking on Merriam Ave.

Q: Can I reserve a spot on a tour?
A: Tours are given on a first-come, first-served basis. Sorry, but we do not take reservations. During especially busy times, the next tour(s) may already be at capacity when you arrive and you may have to wait a little bit for the next available tour.

Q: What are the "especially busy times"?
A: It is impossible for us to predict exactly when we will sell out. However, our busiest times are Saturdays between 12:30pm and 3:00pm.

Q: I just want to buy stuff at the gift shop without taking a tour. What are the gift shop hours?
A: The gift shop is open from the start of the first tour until one hour after the last tour begins. Gift shop hours are Mon-Thu 10-4, Friday 10-6:30, and Saturday 10-4. Closed Sunday.

Q: Do you have a catalog of the things you sell in the gift shop? Can you ship me stuff?
A: We have a great store at www.samadams.com with many items to choose from. They will ship purchases to you. We do not have a catalog or ship from the gift shop at this time. The E-store and the brewery gift shop are the only two places to buy Samuel Adams gear.  Please note the items may vary between the gift shop and the e-store.

Q: Can I buy beer at the brewery?
A: Yes. We sell our very limited, award winning Barrel Room Collection beers; Stony Brook Red, New World Triple and American Kriek.  These beers are sold exclusively in the New England Area and in Colorado.

Q: Is there a restaurant at the brewery?
A: We are a small craft brewery and unfortunately do not have any space for a restaurant. However, we do offer suggestions and directions to several excellent local restaurants and cafes located within walking distance of the brewery.

Q: Can I come in and buy a beer at the bar?
A: We do not have a regular bar. Our tasting room space is only for tours. You must come on a tour to sample beer.

Q: We are with a group of 20+, can we reserve a spot?
A: Groups of 20 or more can call us at (617) 368-5256 to discuss details. Private tour times are available Mon-Thu at 3:30 or 4:00pm. We ask you to please arrive 15 minutes early for your tour.

Q: Can we have our party/meeting/function/event at the brewery?
A: We have a very small brewery with only enough space to make our beer and conduct tours. We do not have function space. You can certainly have your group come for one of our great tours and learn about how we brew our beer!

Q: It's my friend/relative's birthday/anniversary/bachelor party. What special party arrangements can we make?
A: We will do our best to have the tour guide acknowledge the occasion to the entire tour. Maybe you will even be serenaded with "Happy Birthday" by a room full of your fellow beer-lovers. Since you will be on a tour with other people, we cannot make any other special arrangements.

If you have more questions about tours feel free to call us at (617) 368-5256. If you do not reach someone live please leave a message with detailed questions. We will call you back very soon with answers. Thanks and Cheers!
